Help Please

My darling husband has finally discided that we are going to buy all the furniture here.

Better late than never

However we go out to condado in two weeks & the sales will finish very soon I fear and we have delivery dates to concider.

Ah Well

My husband is convinced that we can ger a two seater & a three seater in the apartment. One in the recess under the window & one backing onto the breakfast bar.

I`m not sure. Has any one got the measurements please & your views re No of setees will be very greatfully recieved

ASAP if you do not mind AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Thanks

Jan

When we last looked round the show apartment, it had two two seaters in, as well as a dining table and chairs so you may be ok with two two seaters. A three seater may be a struggle though....

Just to add & confirm for all.

We have a 3 seater under the window & the 2 seater against the 'breakfast bar'.  This allows room for a coffee table & we have even fitted our fairly large tv unit on the 'adjoining' wall (window to breakfast bar) alongside the edge of the 2 seater.  It all looks very neat & tidy with nothing protruding into the 'walkway' to the kitchen. well I would say that wouldn't I ????

Hope this helps

Hi

Would either a two seater or two chairs fit between the breakfast bar and front door glass panel with still enough room to get through...?

Thanks

Phil

We have 2 two seaters in our 2 bed. One under window and one under breakfast bar. If you wanted one to run from door panel window to breakfast bar then we worked it out that you couldnt have a sofa bigger than 145cm in order to have enough room to get through and not look too cramped.

I have put photo on condado section to show how we did it.

Good morning Kelly

The photo helped a lot, thanks.

We had discided to go for 2 setee`s but you are right the best  option is two 2 seaters.

Doesnt look cramped at all

Hi Ant & Andy

Thanks for the photos.

Yes you are right and the  living area in the apartments do seem larger  than we imagined.

We are looking for furniture on Thursday evening.

Have discided we wont be able to furnish as soon as we hoped  ( this month )as there is waiting times for seree`s n no matter what store we go to.

However it just means we will have 2 weeks of leasure as we are rentiing Debbie & Paul Paytonsaptmnt  as of the 18th.

Still the good thing is that the sales are still on. so hopefully we can get all we need over the next week or so.

We have planned to go back to condado in march , so w will aim to finally get the place looking good for April

Thanks again

Jan & Ham

Hi all,

very interested in your posts .  have just been to see my apartment empty, and it is hard to imagine how to furnish it.

I'd be most grateful if anyone has any ideas.  hadnt thought of 2 sofas but it sounds a great idea to me.

Hope to hear from you!  i'll be at Jardines 0298 and hope to be furnishing it in March.

Best wishes sue

Hi Suzibe

Hi neibour. We are in Walsall

Just to let you know we went to DFS , Cannock last week as they had & still have a good sale & good payment plans. We wanted black leather because we have been advised by  friends who let out holiday propertys that Jeans , Suntan lotion etc easily stain light coloured leather & fabrics very easily ,

We saw a great bed setteee with maching two seater setee however the bed setee t did look extremly long and wide & we were not sure if it would be too big.

When we got home I had recieved a thread f saying that they  had a bed settee in the bay & 2 seater setee side on to the breakf\st bar the design is Ikea`s Lillberg which is on page 55. unfortunatly its fabric which we do not want also  we were also sent the measurements & it does look as if the items we chose are far to big

But as the lady at DFS suggested, as we are going over on Sunday   measure first & then discide. If we think its Ok , she is phoning me ( yes while we are in spain ) on the tuesday & we can then either go ahead with the order or cancell.

Word of warning. We too intended to go back & furnish in March but there is a 12 week waiting time for the settee`s.

If you shop in Ikea & its cheaper here than in Murcia they have fabric setee`s & fabric bed setee`s that you can take away with you however there is a 6 week waiting time for delivery of leather and as far as I know they do not do leather bed setee`s . I`m going to phone our local Ikea now just in case. I will  PM you later to let you know if they do & what the delivery is like

Regards

Jan

To Suzibe & any one else interested

Ikea do, do a leather bed settee

.It `s called the LERVIC

It only comes in Cream or brown ( in the uk that is, dont know about Murcia )

it is £684.13 & as it is special order it could take 6 - 8 weeks for delivery.

The sizes are  Width 183cm

                           Depth 94cm

Height ( from floor to top of back rest ) 88cm

The seat depth is   60cm

The seat height is 47 cm.

                          The bed width is 123cm

                          The bed length is 195cm

These sizes are better I think ,for a two bed apartment but unfortunatly will not go into our colour scheme unless we choose another set of colours Boo Hoo

Hope this helps.

I will give our apartment  measurements on return in 2 weeks as I know from the house we have that the  houses of the same design on this estate that there is  a wide range of differences in all. Some it is where pipes have been put & others are space from front door to stairs which is quite a lot  & a few inchiches either way in bed room sizes , so who knows .

Jan
